What King Tut May Have Actually Looked Like
Tut’s mummy DNA tests reveal that he had a lot of medical issues that led to his death. Tut was a tall pharaoh, but he was also weak. Tut had a bone dysfunction and was discovered to have an infected broken leg when he died, in addition to several bouts of malaria.
Evidence of a club foot also showed the time’s possible drawbacks of the conventional inbreeding (his mom and dad were brother and sister). These discoveries shed further light on King Tut’s existence, as he is the only pharaoh described doing everything sitting down, including archery.
